Before the Session
“Prior to my session, I met with Manda’s very talented hair and makeup artist, Nikki, for a glam makeover at Manda’s studio. I highly recommend booking a hair and make up artist for your boudoir session – it will make you look (and therefore, feel) incredible. You will want to bring a few outfit changes with you, but Manda also has a Client Closet at her studio, which was very nice to have access to. I was able to browse through her closet and found a few things I really liked.
Leading up to my session I was feeling incredibly nervous and quite insecure. Having never done a photoshoot like this before, I was so worried about how I would look and feel in front of the camera. Manda’s direction and feedback provided me with a major boost in confidence and made the experience so fun for me.”
Her Takeaway
“One takeaway from a boudoir session – you will be sore the next day from posing. I later joked that the session was a legitimate core workout! The result was a curated gallery of amazing images that I absolutely love. It was so difficult to select my favorites, because I loved so many of them. It is kind of exhilarating to see myself in this way. I never would have imagined doing a boudoir session and am so glad I decided to.
I wanted to do a boudoir session as a gift to my soon-to-be-husband, but to also to celebrate my results from a year of dedicated fitness and nutrition improvement. I’m in my mid-30’s, and have never felt more strong, confident and beautiful. Thank you, Manda, for helping me see myself in a totally new light!”
